Some plumbing jobs can be a bit daunting and frustrating, but there are some surefire ways to make it easier. Having the right tools is one of them because what plumber in their right mind would use a cheap, unreliable torch?
Not only is it important to be prepared, but it is also important to have the best quality tools, especially when using something as dangerous as a blowtorch.
In this buyer’s guide, I will show you why I use the best blowtorch for plumbing so that you do not have to worry and can get back out there and get the job done.

Best Blowtorch for Plumbing
I will only recommend tools that I actually own and use myself and for that reason, I thought I would share with you what I think is the best blowtorch for plumbing.
A good reliable blowtorch is worth its weight in gold. Let me tell you, I have gone for cheaper options in the past, but they were unreliable, they lacked precision, and some were outright dangerous and burning at both ends.
Well, if you are new to plumbing, it will not be long before you hear of Rothenberger and if you are looking for a plumber’s blowtorch, look no further.

What I Like
Initially, I was sceptical about the price as it is a little dearer than many others that you can find but, when I first opened it (having had a couple of cheaper models in the past) I was immediately impressed with the build quality. It is a heavy, solid bit of kit that you can tell has been well-made.
Next, the ignition is superb, and it comes to life instantly unlike cheaper models that are inconsistent or require a little while to get going and warm up. Also, a great feature is that the flame control is separate from the on/ off switch meaning that you can set it how you need it beforehand, and it is ready to go.
The final thing that I really love about this blowtorch is that you can purchase spare parts to keep it serviced and running smoothly. I have never had to buy spare parts but, for me, having those parts available is a mark of quality because Rothenberger does not expect you to just throw the torch away if it gets damaged or misused.
What I Don’t Like
I suppose I don’t like the fact that the cylinder had to be purchased separately but I could order those at the same place. In all honesty, there is nothing negative that can be said about this tool.
Conclusion
Having owned the Rothenberger Super-Fire 2 Brazing Torch for many years, I can say that I would not use any other blowtorch ever again. In fact, I have lent mine to friends in the past and they have gone straight out to buy their own.
Although the Rothenberger seems a little pricey, it more than makes up for that extra few quid with its consistency and the time it saves you on the job. This is undoubtedly the best blowtorch for plumbers and thousands of you out there agree. When you have yours, you will agree too.
